Ideally located in central London, steps away from the King's Cross underground rail station, the Arriva Hotel is a great choice for budget travelers who do not want to be far away from the sights and sounds of beautiful London. The British Library is just a 10-minute walk away; by bus, it's a 10-minute ride to the shopping of Oxford Street and the theater and nightlife of West End. For those who need to get business done in The City (business district), that too is just 10 minutes away by bus. The Tube will quickly get travelers almost anywhere, including Buckingham Palace to watch the changing of the guards, or the London Eye to get the best view of London available. Fully refurbished in November 2002 with new furniture and facilities, the Arriva Hotel sits amongst a row of nineteenth-century Victorian houses. The 67 guest rooms are comfortable and have high ceilings, featuring amenities like television, a coffeemaker, refrigerator, direct-dial telephone, and alarm clock. Complimentary breakfast in the breakfast room is served each morning; a wake-up call is available on request. All rooms have private bathrooms. For the business minded, there is a business center.

I was very pleased with the hotel, it was very clean and my room was exactly what I needed. The only negative note I'll make about this hotel is that although I was asked for my ID initially on checking in, you are expected to leave your room key with reception when going out of the hotel but on returning I was not asked for my identification. This was the case also when leaving items in the luggage room, I was not given a receipt. Basically anyone could have gone into the hotel and asked for a room key or gone into the luggage room and taken anything they wanted.
