Sitting just north of Oxford Street in the heart of the West End, the Bickenhall Hotel is only a few minutes' walk from Hyde Park, Regents Park, Theaterland, and the home of Sherlock Holmes. Guests who walk on a little further can watch the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace, see the London Eye, and catch a show and spend a fun night out in the West End, and then walk right back to the hotel. The Bickenhall Hotel has 20 guest rooms, all retaining the classic elegance of a Georgian townhouse and decorated in warm shades and dark red carpets. Modern amenities are also provided, such as cable television, telephone, coffee and tea maker, and high-speed Internet access. A complimentary English breakfast is served in the hotel's breakfast room or the garden patio. Drinks are served in the lounge in the evening. The lobby offers a 24-hour front desk and complimentary newspapers, and a concierge is available. Amenities:

The room was filthy! The carpets had stains, the bed linens were not changed from day to day. The carpet on the steps was filthy and ripped in many places. The breakfast was horrid! The cook just came from Italy and did not speak english. The food itself was overcooked and not appetizing. The help at the front desk was sleeping one evening when we returned, and it took several tries before he woke up to buzz us in.
