A three-star hotel with many thoughtful design touches, the Hilton London is not the typical budget airport hotel. The hotel has a five-story hangar-shaped atrium that links directly to Heathrow's Terminal 4 by a covered walkway. A glass wall faces the runways, so you can see planes land and take off. All rooms are soundproofed and comfortably sized, with the best rooms being on the fifth floor where there are extra perks (bathrobes, for example) and additional lounges. Small touches make this a cut above the typical economy lodging, such as Crabtree & Evelyn bath products, which are usually only in the high end hotels. And any hotel with soundproofed rooms, especially one near an airport, moves to the front of the line.

Hotel facilities and services include three restaurants and two bars, an indoor heated pool and health club with sauna, business services and center, tour desk, car rental desk, 24-hour room service, babysitting (surcharge), laundry service, same-day dry cleaning, TV with flight information, ATM machine, beauty salon, gift shop, and currency exchange.
