This modern, upscale hotel situated in a quiet spot in the heart of Kensington High Street in central London has 550 spacious standard and executive rooms (many non-smoking) that are décorated in a modern style with light, comforting shades and plenty of natural light to show off its understated opulence. In addition to the hotel's multi-lingual hospitality staff, a dedicated business staff attends to Alchemy, a complete business center featuring 15 high-tech meeting and banquet rooms. Three onsite restaurants and lounges range from formal to casual: Senses, featuring international cuisine, continental or traditional English breakfasts, and buffet lunch, the Lions Sports Bar and Grill, and Blue Smoke, an upscale 1950's-themed North American steak house. Obviously as an American, we are used to receiving a bit of a nicer place for this amount of money, but then again, that's London. We found it to be pretty average in nearly every way. The food in the "restaurant" downstairs was edible. Location was really good on high street very close to the tube and other cool restaurants. Would probably go elsewhere next time.
