Built as London's first luxury hotel in 1885 and bombed during WWII, it wasn't until 1991 that this Victorian classic was restored, its high ceilings and lean columns blending with contemporary polish. Regent's Park is 500 meters from the hotel and its recreational activities include boating, tennis, and horseback riding. In the hotel, the Palm Court Restaurant serves a typically French menu along with traditional British favorites. Traditional English afternoon tea is served in the Palm Court Lounge. The Artesian cocktail bar redesign by David Collins blends Asian simplicity blends with Victoriana.

The Health Club and Spa has a gym, 16-meter pool, and separate men's and women's saunas and steam rooms, and offers massages and beauty treatments. For the business traveler, there are 12 conference rooms and a full business center with PCs, high-speed Internet access, and full secretarial services.
