Breakfast a bit of a let down, poached eggs not
cooked sufficiently, scrambled eggs seemed to be
the powdered kind. We ended up eating only toast.
Not recommended.

Was the worse experience in London for me. I arrive, check in, and then the room key doesn't work, several copies of room key didn't help either. The hotel is not worth the price basically

This hotel sets directly across from Grosvenor
Square with the American Embassy on the left and
Canadian Embassy on the right. The square has
memorials to American history in World War II,
particularly, the Eagle Squadran. I know this hotel
is owned by foreign interests rather than a "true"
English hotel, however, it is within walking distance
(assuming you like to walk) of all the usual Westminster
attractions and I got a fantastic deal through London
Hotels.com. This hotel sets directly in one of the most afluent
areas of London with sidewalk window shopping just
around the corner. Had breakfast at a wonderful little
cafe I stumbled across, and also found a small hidden park
that you wouldn't see just driving by. The hotel can be
expensive unless you shop for a deal. I paid just under
$200/night. It was worth spending the money for the location.
Beware, however, cause if you use any of the xtra amenities, or
eat in the restaurant or bar, it's going to be very expensive.
Also, I walked from Victoria Station to Hyde Park Corner, and
then on to my hotel at 10:00 at night and had no problems and
felt completely safe. I even had a British taxi driver ask ME for
directions. HA! I've only been to London two times, and I was
actually able to help him. Too funny.
