This handsome nineteenth-century Victorian hotel has been family owned and operated for more than 30 years. The multi-lingual owners run a budget-friendly hotel that prides itself on granting travelers a uniquely local home base from which to explore London. Located in the heart of the city, the Normandie Hotel, just off Hyde Park, is only a short walk to Kensington Gardens, Marble Arch, Hyde Park and the West End theater district. Buckingham Palace is a leisurely stroll away, or easily accessible by public transit: The tube and bus lines stop near the Normandie. At Paddington Station, a short walk from the hotel, one can catch the Heathrow Express and get to London Heathrow Airport in 15-20 minutes.

The small, family-run hotel serves a full English breakfast daily in the dining room. Every room in the hotel has a private bathroom, and each is equipped with satellite TV. The rooms have all been refurbished, but nod to their historic role in London history. Many have fireplaces from times before central heating.
