It is right in the middle of central London, between Hyde and Regents Park. Oxford Street, with its world-class shops, is just 350 meters from the door; Bond Street, Lords Cricket Ground, Madame Tussaud's, and all the theater and evening entertainment of the West End are a walk away.

The lobby has a fireplace and leather armchairs, and with a witty nod to its namesake detective, it incorporates many subtle references to put a smile on the face of those familiar with the stories. There is even a daily brain-teaser left on guests' pillows. The guest rooms feature oak furniture, knotted rugs, and 350-thread-count sheets on the beds. La primera habitación que nos dieron era pequeña, oscura y, además, desde la cama se veia la taza del WC (puesto que las puertas del baño son semi-transparentes). Conseguimos que nos cambiaran y la segunda habitación era muy espaciosa, solo que estaba situada en la planta de fumadores. La localización es muy conveniente.
