We stayed there just after New Year. The room was comfortable and cosy. There was a small refrigerator, which was handy as there is a Sainbury's across the street. There is also a facility to make tea or coffee. The only thing I found irritating was the lack of satellite tv.

They had a water leak (overbooked in other words) so they shoved us into another hotel right across the street with no compensation. It was dirty, gloomy and cost much less than the rooms at Quality Crown, however we received no compensation. When we asked for it we were just looked at like some aliens.

The staff was nice and the room was clean. However, I had issues with the bed. The mattress was thin, and I could feel each of the springs in the mattress when I lay down. My bed consisted of two single sized beds joined together, and the mattress on one of the two beds was so worn I almost rolled right out of bed. If the bed were better, I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel. The hotel location was very good, within walking distance of a wide variety of restaurants, and within walking distance of a major subway stop. I would recommend that anyone stay in that neighborhood. Hotels in that area are generally cheaper than ones closer to the heart of London.
