Once the palatial home of the Vanderbilt family, this Victorian townhouse turned four-star hotel still retains many magnificent original features from that era, such as stained glass windows and the elegant and decorative painted ceiling that greet visitors as they walk in. Luxuriously furnished, with inviting fireplaces and an exceptionally welcoming staff, the Vanderbilt is as comfortable as it is convenient. The 215 rooms on six floors are decorated in the style of a warm, inviting English country house and feature mahogany furniture and rich fabrics. Sicilian marble and Jacob Delafon fixtures are showcased in the bathrooms. All rooms are air conditioned and include satellite television, a modem connection, a Bose sound system, and a DVD player.
