We had pre-booked our stay and arrived after a long day to find that our room had been sold to someone else. We had to wait to be put up in another hotel for the night, where we found our room was a twin. The new hotel said they had told our hotel they didn't have doubles, but this was failed to be mentioned to us. We were then taken back to our own hotel the next day, which meant that we lost a good half day the next day. This level of service is completely unsatisfactory and not what we expected of Ramada. How could our room have been given to someone else when we had booked and paid for it in advance? And why did the hotel fail to mention that they didn’t have any double rooms as to at least prepare us when we got there? We always had very high regards for the Ramada hotels as we’d stayed there before, but after this trip, our view has shifted completely and we would like to lodge a formal complaint in this regard as I really don’t think an apology is good enough given the circumstances and the level of service the hotel is supposed to provide.
