The Royal Trafalgar, as its name implies, is situated in central London, between Trafalgar Square, the largest roundabout in London, and Leicester Square. It is in the heart of the theater district, with Soho and its trendy bars and hopping nightlife just a quick walk away. Shopping at Oxford Street and Regents Street are just a mile away, as is the London Eye, the world's tallest observation wheel, from which viewers can get the best view of London. On top of being located in one of the few really quiet streets in the area, the National gallery is literally next door.

The Royal Trafalgar has 116 guest rooms, all of which feature cable television, Internet access, a complimentary newspaper, coffee and tea maker, and direct-dial phone. The 24-hour front desk will gladly provide a wake-up call in the morning, answer any questions, and store valuables in a safe-deposit box.

The Squares restaurant has won the coveted AA Rosette, due to the quality of its quarterly changing menu and impeccable service. For relaxing after a busy day drop by the Gravity Lounge and bar for light snacks and drinks.

Had a great experience at the Thistle Trafalgar Square Hotel. It is very safe and and well worth the money when purchasing through this website. The hotel was clean, and very close to 3 metro stations. It was a 5 minute walk from pretty much anywhere you'd want to go in London. 5 minutes from the entertainment district, 5 minutes from shopping, and 5 minutes from sight seeing. We had 3 people and needed a cot and they supplied us with a room with a pull out couch. The pull out turned out to be more comfortable than the bed! I can't compare it to any other London hotels but in comparison to American hotels, it was on par with a 4 star hotel in North America but it room was a little smaller as was the washroom. If I were to go back to London, I would book this hotel without any hesitation.
