It is within a mile of St Paul's Cathedral, the South Bank, and all the theaters of West End. The closest underground, which is just half a block away, is the Temple Station. The views of the Thames are outstanding, and the Swissotel the Howard is one of just a handful that enjoys such a distinction.

From a seat in the marble lobby on one of upholstered sofas and chairs, guests can observe the fluted columns and detailed crown moldings of the high ceilings. At the 24-hour front desk, a multilingual staff will happily assist in any way possible, including currency exchange. There are 189 climate-controlled guest rooms, with a view of either the garden or the Thames. The decor is earth-toned contemporary, featuring plush duvets on comfortable beds with large headboards.
