Madame Tussauds was set up by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud (1761-1850) who was a housekeeper of Dr. Philippe Curtius, a skilled wax modeller. Her museum is famous the world over, with branches spreading out in various parts of the world.

At Madame Tussauds, visitors can get upclose and personal with a host of the world's hottest celebrities. Did you ever want to meet Kate Moss, Princess Diana or Britney Spears? Well now you can. The figures are so realistic visitors tend to excuse themselves if they bump into them.
