Madame Tussauds was set up by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud (1761-1850) who was a housekeeper of Dr. Philippe Curtius, a skilled wax modeller. Her museum is famous the world over, with branches spreading out in various parts of the world.
At Madame Tussauds, visitors can get upclose and personal with a host of the world's hottest celebrities. Did you ever want to meet Kate Moss, Princess Diana or Britney Spears? Well now you can. The figures are so realistic visitors tend to excuse themselves if they bump into them.
Eager tourists push and shove to get their photo taken with their favorite stars. The museum is constantly refurbished and renovated, with new celebrities being constantly added to time to keep the exhibition fresh and updated.
The exhibition is spread over various sections. There is a very harrowing and macabre Chamber of Horrors with murderers and villains rated as a truly scary experience. Pirates of the Caribbean is quite enjoyable and a hit with visitors. Go to the Garden Party if you want to see famous politicians, film and sports stars. Attend the Premiere Night for all its glitz and glamor. You will get to see the dazzling cast of Oscar winning actors from 1914 to the present day and there is still lots more to see here.
