Hampstead Heath

Hampstead Heath is a sprawling, tree-lined area popular with walkers, joggers, and sports enthusiasts. Surrounded by attractive residential areas, the Heath includes several widely spaced hills that often host concerts, lakeside events, and tours. The green space is also home to Kenwood House, which boasts a large collection of paintings and fine furnishings.

Visitors will find the Lido open air swimming pool at the southern tip of the park. If you want to take a swim at the park try the two ponds near the Highgate side. Both are single-sex ponds. On to the west of these ponds you will find the mixed pond, where both men and women can swim. The water in these ponds comes from the Fleet River, which starts on the Heath and flows down to the River Thames. Visitors can even fish at one of the ponds reserved for fishing; one is reserved for wildlife and one for model boats.

Nearest attractions are Madame Tussauds and the British Library both around two and a half miles away. Hyde Park is nearly three miles away from here.

If you are looking to stay nearby, try the Radisson Edwardian Heathrow.
