Even though Greater London encompasses a massive 622 square miles, the main tourist portion covers only a small part (25 square miles at the most) of that distance. Most tourist attractions within this 25-mile range can be easily reached using the Underground system also called the Tube. You may have to take a short walk from the Tube stop (also called station) to your destination. London is easy to walk due to its flatness, and is also known as a walker's dream.
Many streets in different parts of London have the same name. When you try to locate streets, you do not need to refer to zip codes. The thing that is more important is the nearest tube station. So you look for a street with a reference to the nearest tube station.
